The Hades announcement will come as a welcome sign for Apple users who have been wanting more AAA games on the platform for years. However, this is purely speculation, and only an iOS version should be expected. Despite the announcement leaving out Android, it's possible that Hades will come to the platform sometime later, especially given the size of Netflix's user base. This also means that Netflix will continue to keep its promise of no in-game ads, no extra fees, and no in-app purchases when it comes to game releases on the platform. While the company hasn't divulged a specific launch date, the game will be available on iPhone and iPad devices exclusively for Netflix subscribers, similar to how previous Netflix Games titles have been released. Streaming giant Netflix announced that it's bringing Hades to Apple devices in 2024. It didn't take long for the indie title to grow its popularity and eventually be dubbed as one of the best games to release in the year, even winning accolades at the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards 2020. By September 17, 2020, the game exited early access and launched on PC and Nintendo Switch, propelling Hades sales to exceed a million copies in quick time. Supergiant Games originally launched Hades in 2018 as an early-access title and sold 700,000 copies during the period.
